As a part of their ongoing relaunch of their Superstar 80s sneaker, adidas Originals have teamed up with professional skateboarder, artist and living legend Mark Gonzales aka The Gonz. The clean white upper of the sneaker acts as a blank canvas for Gonzales, who invites the wearer to leave their own mark on the sneaker, and in doing so completely redefine the uniqueness of the style, or alternatively leave his simple redesign as they are. The Gonz adds his creative touch to the Superstar with some debossed handlettering on the tongue and a signature character on the heel tab, while the name “GONZALES” sits defiantly on the lateral.
Look for the adidas Originals Superstar 80s by Gonz to release at select retailers and adidas.com on February 9.
